Without Sunset Bay Academy my daughter would surely be in Juvenile hall, at best case, and more likely pregnant, on drugs or alcohol, or have hurt someone very badly by now. I tried hundreds of things before I put her there. SBA has been so patient and loving to Marquis (and trust me, a lot of times she was not easy to love!) If they can help my daughter, I am sure they can help your son.
My daughter is an extreme case. Most the kids are far less.
The hardest part is being away from your child. It is difficult, but it makes them REALLY grow to appreciate you and the small things in life. At first he will hate you, and eventually he will grow to understand you did it for his best.
I am continually amazed on how comprehensive the program is, and how they prepare the kids for the real world BEFORE they let them leave.
P.S. Another amazing part about the program, is how involved ALL the adults are in the kids lives. Not just the therapist and counselors, but they all love and support your child. THAT was such a HUGE relief for me to see with my own eyes! I hope this helps you.

I am writing to say that we are very impressed with Sunset Bay. The teachers, staff & chefs were very friendly and helpful. The facility is very well managed.
My son Brandon Austin has been at Sunset Bay for over 8 months. He has made truly amazing changes and improvements. He is now a delight and joy to be around and has made plans and goals for his future.
I can't say enough good things about their commitment to our son's success.
