Orientation for teens

To be or not to be, that is the question, no? More important, who you want to be.

Its a frequent question of students when they do not know what course they must follow in their lives when they dont know how to take control. Life is a great responsibility and to guide it is a bigger problem when you dont have a proper foundation set with security, confidence and support from others.

The support can come from parents, teachers, social workers,or psycologist. Even friends and other relatives may play this roll. Sometimes, support from family and friends can influence or end up being confusing to a teen. For those reasons, it is important that a qualified psychologist or teacher within this field, fulfill the purpose.

In educationaly matters, the main protagonists are the teachers. Their roll is mainly to obtain a development in learning abilities and suitable election of profession according to its aptitudes but in agreement with their wishes.

In the personal area, the psychologist is the key. Their role is to obtain that the person acquires security, self-esteem and self-confidence and to improve their relationships and quality of life.

The purpose of orientation is to manage that the individual acquires self-knowledge, responsibilities and commitments to develop capacities in the individual that help it in decision making and to solve problems of its daily life. This does not force the person to make a decision. There is enough information pushed onto us through media and our social atmosphere to promote their own desires. People take their own risks, which becomes experience, which takes control of their life. All while confronting decisions and consequences and guiding the teen to have a good use of the freedom being responsible for its actions and respecting the moral rules of the society.

The program provides a simulation of the real world and gives the life experience that the teen needs without putting them at risk.

We must remember that teens are forming their character and attitude. Drawing their own plan of life. With assistance, parents, teachers and psychologists can help them.
